About to Go Home Too Tired It was the end of the day and I had a splitting headache. I was about to get in my car when I saw the house door opened beside the car in the driveway, so I decided to go and make one last call. Sapphire was tired and not ready for a visit, but when I said it would take only eight minutes, she invited me in and said I could have 10 minutes and no more. So I started the canvass. When I took out the books she was really excited about them, and then when she saw the Bible she was just amazed.
Recently deciding they needed to read their Bible and move on in their lives, she and her partner had been reading the Bible. Their daughter loved our Bible too. Sapphire was delighted with the Bible storybooks. When I asked for the order, she said they needed them all but would have to confirm it with her partner.
She came back with him and said, “Yes, he has agreed with me. When he asked how much and I showed him, he took a deep breath, then said, 'If you really want them, it's up to you!' Yes, she sure placed her order. We shared testimonies and I told her how she was an answer to prayer. I told her I had prayed before coming out that God would lead me to some souls, and there she was! She had tears in her eyes. Before I left I offered her the Who Is Jesus? video and had a prayer with her dear little family. I gave her daughter a storybook, and for the parents a Signs magazine and Happiness Digest, so they all had something to read.
